Bernardo Silva is the great hope of the Portuguese national team, who have struggled to find a world-class technical playmaker in recent years. With the team loaded with skillful, tricky and fast-attacking players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Nani and Ricardo Quaresma, the team needed a technical player like Bernardo to bring more cunning and precision to the team’s attacking play. Silva has also shown that he has the ability to bring cohesion to team play and take it to the next level. The fact that he is coached at club level by Pep Guardiola will only improve his technical game.
