Benzino is an American rapper, record producer, media executive, and songwriter, best known as a founding member of rap groups Made Men and The Almighty RSO . After his success with groups, he decided to focus on his solo career and released his debut studio album in 2001 entitled The Benzino Project . 2 years later in 2003 he released his second studio album titled Redemption . In the same year, he started a feud with Eminem after calling him “2003 Vanilla Ice” and “Rap Hitler” and released 2 diss tracks called Pull Up Your Skirt , and Die Another Day.

In 2014, Benzino said he was an angry person at the past and that he regretted his words and hoped to have a laugh with Eminem over the past beef, but again insulted Eminem’s fans in 2018. Apart from releasing 2 more studio albums named Archenemy (2005) and The Antidote (2007), Benzino appeared in a VH1 reality TV series Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta from 2012 to 2014 for his fans to get to know him better . He was also a director of hip hop magazine The Source along with David Mays, his longtime friend and creator of HipHop Weekly magazine, also founded with David in 2006.

He’s a chef who actually quit rapping to open his own restaurant, Benzino’s Crab Trap , based in Marietta, Georgia, USA. The restaurant operated for most of 2015 and 2016 and received high praise from the locals and the people who are passionate about its entrepreneurship. Unfortunately, Benzino closed it in late 2016 but said he hoped to reopen it in the future.
