RNN news recalls that the Benin Republic police on Monday night arrested Igboho at Cardinal Bernardin International Airport in Cotonou while trying to fly from the country to Germany.
The Yoruba Agitator was accused of obtaining a fake Beninise passport.
According to SaharaReporters, an official of the court, on Thursday night, July 22 said the court ordered that Igboho should be returned to custody, while his wife, Rope, be released.
“They just finished from the court. The wife is to be released this night and Sunday is to remain in custody. The matter was adjourned till Friday, July 23,” an official said.
