BBNaija: My family wasn’t there for me when my boyfriend died – Angel

BBNaija “Shine ya Eye” Housemate, Angel Agnes Smith, monotonously known as Angel has rubbed her family in the mud despite the tremendous support from her father and her mother.

The controversial housemate did this while discussing with Queen, another housemate, she said that her connection with her parents was unhealthy and that she needed to walk away from home.  She went on to say that there was no emotional support in the form of love, caring, or attention, but only money.

Her words; “Emotionally, my family wasn’t there for me when my boyfriend died. “My house was toxic; that’s why I’m here. I came here for stability. I was always on the move trying to remove myself from my toxic family and I couldn’t explain to people that I was running away from them.

“They put me through so much and I’m only 21. They provided money, but I’m smart enough to know that money is the least of a child’s problem. I mean it’s important but there’s so much more.

“You have to invest emotionally and mentally and they never gave me these two things. I’m just looking for stability to be away from all the shit I went through on my own. You never know what anyone is going through till you walk in their shoes.”

However Angel’s Mother, Titilala Brown Sugar has taken to Instagram to reveal how hard she struggled to keep food on the table and pay her daughter’s school fees.

Titilala, replying to a troll who accused her of neglecting her daughter said: kindly tag me on the part where she said I didn’t take care of her…she was always with her grandma because I needed to work to put food on her table and to pay school..before I forget Angel went to a boarding school..and how come you didn’t hear her say her mother is the only one that gave her support to go for bbn???
