In the early hours of Thursday, Kess of BBNaija had gotten into a conversation with Christy O. In the conversation, he recounted his encounter with the Nigerian police and it wasn’t a good one. According to Kess, the police had stopped him and his brother at a checkpoint and asked to check their luggage. But instead of checking and letting them go on the spot, they had him follow them to their tent. They went further to ask him to tender the receipts of his laptop which he couldn’t provide instantly because it would definitely not be with him outside his house.
However, he called home and when his uncle got on the phone, he asked the phone to be handed to the police officer. Unknowing to the police officer, Kess of BBNaija’s uncle is a senior police officer, so, he ended up being rude to him.
Kess said his uncle asked the police officer “who are you?” and he replied with the same. Meanwhile, this is another evidence that the Nigerian police are yet to drop this act of bullying and tormenting citizens. Kess further recounted that the police officers threatened to ‘kill them and bury them with their phones.’
The conversation continued however as he continued to make recount several other police encounters. Is the Nigerian Police ever going to stop?
