The organizers of the reality TV show, Big Brother Naija, recently announced that auditions for season 7 of the show have begun. In anticipation of the show, here is everything you need to know about BBNaija 2022, the audition, venue, grand prize and requirements.
According to a post on the verified Twitter page of the show, Auditions for the BBNaija 2022 would commence from 15th May 2022 to 30th May 2022.
Interested participants are expected to log on to www.AfricaMagic.tv and upload a 3-minute video introducing themselves, what is unique about them, their likes and dislikes and why they should be chosen this season.
They are also to speak about their family and friends. With that being said what are the expected requirements for candidates willing to participate in BBNaija 2022?
Requirements for BBNaija 2022
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age by June 1, 2022.
- Must be a Nigerian citizen or permanent resident of Nigeria as of June 1, 2022, and in possession of a valid identity document.
- Must be in excellent physical and mental health.
- Selected Applicants are required to sign Agreement & Release, a Confidentiality agreement (including those for your immediate family members), and a caretaker agreement; undergo psychological and medical assessments (including blood and urine tests and other additional information as required by Producers.
- Candidates must also submit to physical and psychological examinations by Producers’ selected medical professional(s) in Lagos and meet all physical and psychological requirements.
- By applying for participation in Big Brother Naija, Applicants authorize the Producers to conduct civil, criminal, and any other type of background checks deemed necessary by the Producers.

How to apply for BBNaija 2022
- All Interested participants are expected to record a two-minute video of themselves stating why they should be picked to be a BBNaija season seven housemate.
- Applicants are to log on to www.africamagic.tv to fill out the online registration form and upload their videos.
- All applicants must also be 21 years of age by July 1, 2022.
- All Applicants must be of Nigerian nationality with valid identity documents.
- The online audition is free and open to interested male and female participants.
Grand Prize for BBNaija 2022
The organiser of the reality show is yet to unveil the grand prize for BBNaija 2022. But in the last season, the organizers gave away a grand prize of N90 million, the highest in the show’s history. They have been speculations among stakeholders and fans of the show that the organizer might be upping the grand prize to N120 Million.
The first season of the reality show aired in 2006 and was won by Katung Aduwak, who went home with the grand prize of $100,000. The second season of the show in 2017 was won by Warri- born rapper, Efe Ejeba, who got the grand prize of N25m.
Miracle Igbokwe, who won the third season of the show in 2018, got N25m, a brand new Hyundai Tuscon SUV, home appliances worth N3m and a trip for two to an exotic location, as well as a year’s supply of Pepsi and Aquafina water. The 2019 season, tagged ‘Pepper Dem’, was won by a video vixen and entrepreneur, Mercy Eke, who took home N30m, an Innoson SUV said to be worth N25m, a trip to Dubai and other prizes.
The fifth season of the show was held in 2020 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. It was won by the 28 Rapper, Laycon, who took home N30m, an Innoson Motors SUV worth N30m, a two-bedroom apartment, a trip to Dublin, Ireland, and other prizes.

Terms and Conditions
- Applicants selected by the Producers for the next phase of the auditions must avail themselves for a possible video interview.
- Selected applicants will be contacted via email, and will be scheduled for a physical interview in Lagos, where the final selection will be made by the organizers
- Interested candidates must be willing to live in the Big Brother Naija house located in Lagos with approximately a dozen or more strangers where they will have little or no privacy.
- If selected for the reality show, applicants are expected to make necessary arrangements with their employer and family in anticipation of their extended absence.
- The house is extensively outfitted with video and audio recording devices that will record, broadcast and exhibit the applicant’s actions and voices at all times, in every room and space in the house for the duration of the contest.
- Applicants will be observed at all times by the Producers as well as the general public watching on television, the Internet, mobile devices and any and all other media.
- Only one participant will receive the grand prize (subject to change at the Producers’ and/or the Broadcaster’s discretion).
Note: Employees, officers, directors and agents of the Broadcaster, Producers and any sponsor of the Program or a contest or prize related thereto, and/or any of their respective licensees, assigns, parents, affiliated and subsidiary companies and the immediate family (spouse, mother, father, sister, brother, daughter or son, regardless of where they live) or members of their same households (whether related or not) of such employees, officers, directors and agents are not eligible to be participants on Big Brother Naija or participate in the application process.
