Born in 1983 in the city of San Sebastián, she is the daughter of the painter Juan Luis Goenaga and the niece of the actress, screenwriter and director Aitzpea Goenaga. On her uncle’s part, she was influenced by the cinema, so much so that at just 3 years old she began to take her first steps on television.

As a girl she was a regular face of ETB, the Basque regional channel, for which reason at the age of 16 she decided to move to Madrid to begin her career permanently. As soon as she arrived in the city, she began working on ‘El grupo’, broadcast on Telecinco with great critical acclaim but being a fiasco in audiences, for which she went unnoticed.

Her best-known roles would come later, with films like ‘Oviedo Express’, for which she was nominated for a Goya, and ‘Los cronocrímenes’. Bárbara Goenaga has also had important appearances on television, especially in series such as ’23F: the story of a betrayal’, Amar es para siempre and ‘Cuéntame cómo paso pasó’.

THE CURRENT PARTNER OF BÁRBARA GOENAGA

She had a relationship with the actor Óscar Jaenada , with whom she had a son in 2011 whom they named Aran. Only two years later they decided to separate their paths, although they will always be united by the little one.

In 2015, her name jumped to the gossip magazines when her relationship with the former politician Borja Sémper was made public, which continues to this day. The couple have had two children: Telmo and Elliot. Despite the fact that she decided not to be her mother, her friend Maribel Verdú is her great companion and advisor.
