He still relies on the expert guidance of CornellMcClellan, who has trained Obama and his wife for over 20 years and moved to Washington from Chicago when Obama became President. McClellan mixes up the training regime to guess his body and get the most out of the training regime.

In addition to lifting regular weights, Obama also uses kettlebells in his exercises. McClellan also added TRX bands, resistance bands, and tubes to make Obama’s exercises even more valuable.

He supplements his training regime with healthy eating. He focuses on eating lots of protein and fresh vegetables. He usually prefers salmon or a healthy salad with red peppers, chicken and sesame dressing for dinner. To curb his hunger between meals, he nibbles on nuts or trails.
