The Duke of Shomolu Production, a Nigerian theater company, has partnered with Wema Bank for its four-stage plays taking place later this month.

Morolake Philip-Ladipo, the bank’s acting Head of Marketing Communications and Investor Relations, said in a statement that the sponsorship “demonstrates the bank’s demonstrated commitment towards the growth and development of arts and culture in the country” in addition to providing theater lovers with a unique holiday experience.

Wema Bank has supported theatrical productions in the nation for more than five years, according to Morolake, who also mentioned the social benefits of stage plays for both performers and audiences.

“Theatre brings humor and learning, and Duke of Shomolu’s plays give us a lot to learn with the historical plotlines he explores”

She urged all theatergoers to take advantage of the DOS Production’s offer to enjoy a revitalizing activity with their family and close friends.

“This season is always a period of relaxation for Nigerians, and as we celebrate Christmas and New Year holidays, I urge everyone to turn out to watch any of Awo, Our Duke Has Gone Mad, Ogiame Erejuwa and Ufok Ibaan, lined up to be performed by DOS productions”
