The 2021 Ballon D’or Award ranking heats up as Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandoski and few others performed well in their respective domestic leagues and International tournaments in 2021.

Obviously, in the just-concluded 2021 Copa America, Lionel Messi led Argentina to their first international trophy in 28 years after they secured a 1-0 victory against their rival, Brazil. While Ronaldo and Portugal were eliminated in the last 16 of the Euro 2020.

Without a doubt, the Ballon D’or Award is based on player’s performance and individual awards for club and country in a calendar year. The award was cancelled last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
