Aura Garrido

Aura Garrido was born in Madrid on May 29, 1989. The daughter of a composer and a painter, her passion was clear: to be an artist. At the beginning of it she opted for dance. She trained for many years in classical dance, in addition to starting to take piano classes; but after finishing her high school studies she enrolled in the Real Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático (RESAD). She interrupted her academic preparation in the third year of her degree to shoot the film that would mean her first Goya nomination, Planes de mañana (2010), where she plays Mónica; an immature teenager with a thirst for revenge. This was not her first job, before she we could also see her in series like Suddenly the Gómez and Physics or chemistry (2009) and the miniseries Innocentswhere he shared the bill with Michelle Jenner , Álex González and Lucía Ramos .

After the success of Planes de mañana, she achieved her first leading role on television in the Telecinco series, La pecera de Eva, for two seasons. After this series, she participated in others such as Ángel o demonio (2011), playing Valeria, a young woman who discovers one night that she is an angel destined to fight evil. We could also see her in fictions like Crematorium (2011) and Imperium (2012). During the recording of the latter, she combined her television work with secondary roles in films such as Ghost Promotion (2012) and El cuerpo (2012), directed by Oriol Paulo. The plot revolves around the investigation carried out by a police inspector about the disappearance of a woman’s body in the morgue.

A year later he returned to television with Las aventuras del capitán Alatriste , a production directed by Salvador Calvo and starring Aitor Luna , the fiction based on the adventure saga by Arturo Pérez Reverte that did not achieve the desired success, it remained in a 6.2% share, one of the lowest percentages recorded in prime time on the day of the broadcast.

This same year, the actress from Madrid obtained her second nomination at the Goya Awards with her role in the film Stockholm , a film that was financed through crowdfunding. The feature film that led to the nomination of its director Rodrigo Sorogoyen , is the classic story “boy meets girl” in a nightclub. Madly “in love” with her, he decides to win her over for a whole night, but everything changes when dawn breaks. In 2013 she also participated in Los ilusos and Viral .

Brothers (2014), with only six episodes, this mini-series managed to maintain a relatively loyal audience until it collapsed in its last chapter. In 2015 Garrido returned to the big screen with two films Innocent Killers and Vulcania directed by José Skaf , a fantasy feature film that received very good reviews. Since that same year, Aura has starred in the series that many consider her masterpiece to date on television, El ministerio del tiempo , a fantastic production where both she and Rodolfo SanchoThey will have to travel to different moments in history with the mission of preventing the past from changing. She plays Amelia Folch, the first university woman in Barcelona with whom she feels very identified. The young woman from Madrid has defined The Ministry of Time as her dream come true since she declares herself a fan of science fiction, especially the Star Wars saga and Game of Thrones .

In 2016 he has collaborated both on television and in cinema, El padre de Caín and La reconquista respectively. He has also participated in short films such as 5ºB Escalera drcha (2011), Sssh! (2012) and One Step Ahead (2015).
