Aubrey Drake was born Aubrey Drake Graham is an American and Canadian rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, actor, and entrepreneur. Drake first gained recognition as an actor on the teen drama television series Degrassi: The Next Generation in the early 2000s and progressed by pursuing a career in music. He left the Degrassi series in 2007 following the release of his first mixtape, Room for Improvement. He released two more independent projects, Comeback Season and So Far Gone, before signing to Lil Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment in June 2009.

Drake donates money to tons of charities, but the charity he supports the most is the THORN organization. THORN was founded by Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore in 2010 in Los Angeles, California. The purpose of the organization is to end modern slavery, punish the perpetrators and free the innocent victims implicated in this crime.

  • April 2010: Drake donates $30,000 to the Jamaican Learning Center. He donated $30,000 to build computer schools for children,
  • August 2011: Drake presents a $10,000 Allan Slaight Prize at Dixon Hall Toronto. Drake was honored with the 2nd Annual Allan Slaight Award, for which he received an honorarium of $10,000. He then decided to donate his award to Dixon Hall, a charity dedicated to providing opportunities for people living in low-income neighborhoods in Toronto.
