Atiku's Media Aide: "What Nigerians are witnessing now is Buhari pro-max"
Paul Ibe, media aide to Atiku Abubakar, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, has stated that the current hardship in Nigeria is not unexpected.
According to Ibe, the challenges Nigerians face today under President Bola Tinubu’s administration are a continuation of what they experienced under former President Muhammadu Buhari.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Ibe criticized the Tinubu administration for not acknowledging the significant hardships faced by Nigerians, indicating a lack of preparedness for governance.
He noted that the various challenges experienced under Buhari’s administration have worsened under Tinubu’s government.
Ibe highlighted the economic struggles, saying, “The economy went into recession twice under the last APC administration due to their lack of understanding of economics, nepotism, and corruption.”
He emphasized that the current administration has amplified these issues, referring to it as “Buhari pro-max.”
He also pointed out the ongoing challenges in the country, including divisions, insecurity, and the high cost of basic food items.
Ibe questioned the government’s handling of the Dangote Refinery project, which received a $20 billion investment from taxpayers under the previous administration.
He expressed disappointment that the current government has not made progress in addressing the nation’s problems.
