Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of the former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has warned against electing Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2023. He gave the warning in a Facebook post on Thursday claiming that the former vice president would push the Fulanisation agenda of Nigeria if he wins the 2023 presidential election.
Fayose alleged that Atiku would force Fulani settlement in all the local government areas of Southern Nigeria, by installing Fulani Emirs in the Southern part of the country. He wrote, “Atiku will force Fulani settlement in all LGAs of Southern Nigeria. Install Fulani Emirs!.”

Atiku on his part has left Nigeria to campaign in the United States of America. Despite reports in 2018 that he would be unable to enter the United States, Atiku traveled to the country with former Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki and others. The visit to the United States was significant because it dispelled any suspicions that Atiku could not travel to the United States.
Atiku begins a week-long electioneering campaign in the United States, where he will meet with Nigerians and members of the business sector. According to The Punch, Atiku would meet with Nigerians in the Diaspora as well as PDP members in North America as part of his programs and engagements while in the US.
Atiku launched his election campaign in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, three weeks ago. It was followed by the Kaduna campaign, and on Saturday, another campaign was held in Benin, the capital of Edo State.
