Askmen’s Top 10 Outstanding Women of 2015
This list is also part of the review strategy from the journal. This list was formerly known as the Most Desirable Women, which ranked women based on their looks and sex appeal. This year, however, the magazine’s think tank has decided to also consider other aspects such as role in society, achievements and their contribution and influence on their field, to present a list that is not only ephemeral and futile criteria.
The list is headed by British beauty, Emma Watson , who has emerged not only as a great actress but also as a powerful advocate for women’s rights. Read on to know who gave her a tough fight to reach the Uno position in this list.

Serena Williams
There are no longer enough superlatives to describe the achievements of the tennis player who has been dubbed ‘Queen of the Court’ by the mainstream media. Over the years she has won most of the major singles, doubles and mixed doubles titles in tennis history. Her 20 singles Grand Slams placed her third on the all-time list. Her form has been at its best for the last year. Incidentally, she is the reigning Australian Open, French Open, US Open, WTA Tour Championships and Women’s Olympic Champion. Maybe she’s bored with the constant dominance in the world. She launched her clothing line last year and is reportedly working on a script for a TV series. Maybe next year we will see them on this list again.

Jennifer Lawrence
J-Law is reportedly set to take home a cool $20 million and a 30 percent share of the profits of her upcoming sci-fi romance film, which is being produced by Sony Pictures. What’s more interesting about her fees is that she’ll be taking in a cool $8 million more than her male partner Chris Pratt, who is getting $12 million for his efforts. Considering Hollywood has been paying more and more to male actors, this is certainly a great achievement. However, achieving something new and different has never been a problem for the Kentucky native, who ranks as the second-youngest Best Actress OscarWinner. She has consistently broken the stereotype of a successful actress who everyone expects to act like a spoiled brat. She comes across as goofy, genuine and extremely down to earth. And her passionate attack on the nude photo leak scandal was bold, fierce, smart, and real, too.

Amal Clooney
However, she broke many hearts when she married GeorgeClooney, but she’s earned enough recognition as a top human rights attorney to still remain in society’s good books. The Lebanese-British lawyer has been fighting some of the most high-profile human rights cases for years. She gained widespread recognition after being married to Clooney, but in truth she had already become a celebrity by the time she decided to represent LifestyleLeaks founder Julian Assange. Her high-profile clients include former Libyan intelligence chief Abdallah Al Senussi and former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko.

Beyoncé
In the professional field, Beyoncé was a quiet year for her high standards. She did take part in a lucrative tour with her husband Jay Z. However, she has only won three Grammy awards from six nominations, which is a bit of a low conversion rate for the pop star. She has won Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song for “Drunk in Love” and Best Surround Sound Albumfor Beyoncé but lost the Album of the Year award to Beck, much to Kanye West’s disappointment. Her position in this list is not only due to her professional recognition, she was also politically active. She recently signed an open letter to Angela Merkel and Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, urging them to focus on women in their positions as heads of the G7 in Germany and the AU in South Africa, respectively.

Elizabeth Holmes
Elizabeth Holmes is the youngest self-made billionaire with a fortune of $4.7 billion. Her company Theranos , which she founded in 2003 at the age of 19 as a chemical engineer at Stanford University, is fundamentally changing the blood testing industry. The company offers a full range of blood tests directly to consumers at a price that is typically one-fourth to one-tenth of what others charge. Elizabeth was instrumental in the success of her company. As of 2014, she had 18 US patents and 66 non-US patents in her name and was listed as a co-inventor on over a hundred patent applications. The 31-year-old combines her innovative genius with a strong business acumen to achieve her business goals. And it looks like we’ll see her on many top lists to come.

Lindsey Vonn
That’s the beauty of the new list. The strong and successful women who failed to find their way to popular media publications even after their immense success in their respective careers are finally getting the recognition they deserve and the general public is getting real and inspiring role models. Vonn has been one of the best skiers for years, but the popular media has failed to cover her. If you ask an average American woman about her, the most common answer is: who? But that doesn’t take away from their achievements. She is the only one of two female skiers to have won four World Championshipschampionships. She has also won World Cup races in all five downhill skiing disciplines, winning 67 World Cup races as of March 2015, placing her second in the all-time list. What makes her achievement even more impressive is that she has overcome injuries and personal issues.

Taylor Swift
Ever since I was the youngest ever Album of the Year winner, Grammy Awards winner Taylor Swift is steadily toward superstardom and is one of pop’s most popular stars right now. Much like her transition from cute girl to sex icon, her transition from country music darling to pop diva has been consistent and successful. Her last music album, 1989, was a monumental success, making her the first and only to have three albums sell more than a million copies in its opening week. The hugely successful The 1989 World Tour followed, performing in Japan, USA, Canada, UK, Republic of Ireland, Germany, Holland and Australia. What’s special about this year for Swift and her fans is that she’s dating Calvin Harris.

Kim Kardashian
Most of you would be amazed by Kim’s presence on this list, and that too as high as third. And anyone who has seen the cheap melodrama on her reality show is right to feel that way. Because whatever happens on the show is nothing short of a mockery of normal family life. But if you put sentimentality and logic aside for a second, you’ll find that the show is a hugely successful business. Also, despite her dismal beginnings, Kim has used her determination to break into the fashion world. On her resume she has a hugely successful perfume line, a best-selling coffee table book and the biggest mobile app of 2014.

Ronda Rousey
Ronda Rousey is arguably one of the best female UFC fighters in the world right now. And a pretty wild and ruthless one too. Proof? Her 14-second loss to Cat Zingano at UFC 184, the fastest in UFC history. So don’t tell her she fights like a girl. And I mean always. The first and current UFC women’s bantamweight champion has also made an impressive showing in Hollywood with her powerful roles in the films ‘The Expendables 3’, ‘Furious 7’ and ‘Entourage.’

Emma Watson
Emma Watson has not only matured into a talented actress, but has also grown as a woman. The 24-year-old is the face of the United Nations’ HeForShe campaign and has emerged as one of its leading feminist advocates. Despite widespread criticism and trolling, she hasn’t strayed an inch from her campaign, and her quest to change the way people think about women has helped her gain respect, even for unexpected reasons. A real winner.
