Born February 15, 1976 in Glenview, Illinois, United States, is an American serial killer and convicted rapist. He has also dubbed ‘The Hollywood Ripper’ and ‘The Boy Next Door Killer’. Gargiulo killed about 7 other girls, including Ellerin, and attempted to murder two women. In 2008 he was arrested by the Santa Monica Police Department. And on July 7, 2011, he was charged with first degree murder.

After delaying his June 2017 trial hearing which was scheduled to take place in October 2017, his trial began on May 2, 2019. Following this, actor Kutcher also testified about the crimes in May. On October 19, 2019, after several hours of deliberation, a jury sought the death penalty against him. But starting in March 2020, appeals from the prosecution continued to delay Garguilo’s sentencing in California.
