Arnon Milchan was born in Rehovot, British Mandate of Palestine (now Isreal) to a Jewish family on the 6th of December, 1944. His mother was a descendant of the European Jewish disciples of the rabbi Vilna Gaon who went to Palestine in the early 19th century. Arnon Milchan is the eighth generation of his family in the country.

Business Career
Following the sudden death of his father, Arnon Milchan inherited his father’s fertilizer company at 21 and transformed it into a successful chemical company. He attended the London School of Economics and earned a degree before he was recruited with his company, Milchan Brothers Ltd. to Lekem. Lekem is a secret Israeli intelligence organization responsible for obtaining technology and material for Israel’s nuclear program, and other highly secretive programs.
Film Producing Career
Arnon Milchan has been in the movie business since 1977 after an introduction to American producer Elliot Kastner. In 1981, he partnered with Sydney Pollack on the US miniseries Masada. And in 1991, Arnon Milchan started his own production company, New Regency Productions.
