She became popular in the United States as a Broadway actress, and for the series “Mayberry RFD”. Arlene Golonka she passed away on May 31, 2021, at the age of 88, in a residence in West Hollywood (California), after several years suffering from Alzheimer’s.

Born on January 23, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois, into a family of Polish immigrants, Arlene Golonka dreamed of becoming an actress since she was little, when she participated in school functions. At the age of 19, she moved to New York, where after a season as a waitress she made her debut in the Broadway theater, where she chained interpretations of eccentric blondes. In “Come Blow Your Horn,” Neil Simon’s first play, she played a stunning young woman whose love was feuded by two brothers.

At the end of the 1960s, Arlene Golonka moved to Los Angeles, where she was involved in the television series MASH , Super Agent 86 and Mayberry RFD , which revolved around the adventures of the residents of a small community. 

In cinema he began in the films Love with a Stranger , by Robert Mulligan , where he limited himself to acting as an extra, and in Penélope , by Arthur Hiller , with Natalie Wood , in which he gave life to the prostitute Honeysuckle Rose. She also played a harlot in They Made Two Mistakes , opposite Clint Eastwood . She was later a passenger on Airport 77 and the wife of Peter Falk , on The In-Laws .

Arlene Golonka is   survived by her sister, Zorine, and her nine nephews.
