1. While attending high school, he met his future The Black Eyed Peas band member William Adams (stage name will.i.am), who was the nephew of his adoptive father’s roommate.
2. He grew up in the Philippines under poor conditions. He often had to help his mother grow corn, sweet potatoes, sugar cane, and rice on the farm.
