Antonio Rodolfo Quinn Oaxaca, popularly known as Anthony Quinn, was a Mexican-born American actor, painter, writer, and director. He was an Oscar-winning Mexican-American actor known for his roles in ‘Viva Zapata! ”, ”Lust for Life” and ”Zorba the Greek”. He was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, but his family moved to Los Angeles soon after. His birth. His father died when he was only 9 years old.

Quinn was born to his parents Manuela Oaxaca (mother) and Francisco Quinn (father). He fathered 13 children. They married his first wife, Katherine Demille in 1937. The two had five children; Christopher Quinn, Christina Quinn, Catalina Quinn, Duncan Quinn and Valentina Quinn.Their first child, Christopher, when he was two, drowned in the lily pond at nearby WC Fields.
Quinn and DeMille divorced in 1965, over his affair with Italian costume designer Jolanda Addolori, whom he married in 1966. They had three children; Francesco Quinn, Danny Quinn and Lorenzo Quinn.
During his marriage to Addolori, in the 1970s, Quinn also had two children with an event producer in Los Angeles named Friedel Dunbar with whom he had two children; Sean Quinn and Alexander Anthony Quinn.
Quinn then had two children with her secretary, Katherine Benvin in the 1990s; Antonia Patricia Rose Quinn and Ryan Nicholas Quinn.In August 1997, her marriage to Addolori finally ended in divorce. He then married Benvin in December 1997. Quinn and Benvin remained married until his death in June 2001.

Quinn appeared in over 200 films during her career. He took on fewer acting roles in his later years and pursued his interest in art by painting, sculpting, and designing jewelry.
He always maintained a screen presence with projects like Jungle Fever in 1991, Somebody t o Love in 1994, A Walk in the Clouds in 1995, Oriundi in 2000 and Avenging Angelo in 2002, which was his last film.
Also, he played the Greek mythological god Zeus in several Hercules TV movies. Quinn was also the author of two memoirs: Original Sin: A Self-Portrait in 1972 and One Man Tango in 1995.

ANTHONY QUINN MORT
Quinn died of respiratory failure, throat cancer, and pneumonia on June 3, 2001, in Boston, Massachusetts, at the age of 86. He spent his final years in Bristol, Rhode Island.His funeral was held at the First Baptist Church in America in College Hill, Providence, Rhode Island. He had joined the evangelical Christian community of Foursquare just before his death. He is buried in Bristol, Rhode Island in a family plot.
