Born on July 25, 1930, in Surrey, England, Annie Ross was the daughter of Scots who sent her to Los Angeles at the age of four to live with an aunt, Ella Logan, a Broadway actress and singer. Determined to follow in her footsteps, she settled in New York in the 1950s and after performing with various bands, she formed the trio Lambert, Hendricks & Ross, which had huge success with songs like “Twister.”

Since the late 50s, he began to play roles in television series, such as El Santo , and feature films such as Yankees , Superman III and Throw Mom from the Train . She got a cut from the director Robert Altman , because under her orders she played herself in The Hollywood Game , and a prestigious jazz singer, Tess Trainer, in Lives Crossed .

After parting ways with Lambert and Hendricks, in 1964,  Annie Ross opened a London nightclub called Annie’s Room. Her career suffered in the 1960s due to a heroin addiction and a complex relationship with controversial comedian Lenny Bruce. She later married British actor Sean Lynch ( Rebellion in India ), until his death in 1979.
