“Benitooooo”, he would shout when he needed his partner to help him make a ‘ñapa’. Ángel de Andrés López became very popular as Manolo, one of the two disastrous masons in “Manos a la obra”. The actor died on May 4, 2016, at the age of 64, as a result of a heart attack.

A regular face in Spanish cinema, he appeared in titles such as Huevos de oro , El perro del hortelano , 800 balas , or Carousel c. 1950 . But his greatest success was the sitcom Manos a la obra , where he played a disastrous bricklayer, the ‘thinking head’ of the tandem he formed with the character of Carlos Iglesias. The bunglers Benito and Manolo became great celebrities.
The actor was related to his colleague Milena Montes , with whom he met in Flying Saucers . His last appearance was in the series Carlos, Rey Emperador , where he gave life to Pope Clement VII.
