ANA GARCÍA LOZANO: HER AGE, HER RELATIONSHIP WITH MANOLO ESCOBAR AND THE PROGRAMS SHE HAS PRESENTED
For the youngest, the name of Ana García Lozano will be that of a complete stranger, but for millions of people she was one of the star presenters of the 90s. We review her age , her partner and the programs she has presented.
Born in Valencia in 1963, she is the niece of Manolo Escobar. Although her father was also linked to the world of music, he was a guitarist, she opted for journalism, a career that she studied in Madrid.
He took his first steps in the profession on radio stations such as the now-defunct Radio España and Cope, although he really made himself known to the general public thanks to television.
In this medium, he began production work on highly successful programs from the early 90s such as ‘VIP Noche’ and ‘El gran juego de la oca’, where he worked with Emilio Aragón. But her life changed in 1994, when she became the presenter of a revolutionary format.
Telemadrid opted for her and for a program in which anonymous people told their story. ‘El programa de Ana’ was the first testimonial program to be broadcast in Spain. Such was the success that only two years later he presented the same format on Telecinco nationwide.
Although Ana García Lozano became known for these programs, the truth is that she was in charge of other spaces on other channels such as TVE and Cuatro in which she presented ‘¡Qué punto!’, ‘Esta es mi historia’, ‘Lend me your life’ or ‘The glass house’.
After completing a stage in the world of television, the journalist decided to return to the radio, specifically to Punto Radio. There she presented ‘We want to talk’, although she ended up leaving the station after a big difference with the head of programs.
After leaving the radio, it is common to listen to Ana García Lozano in other spaces of Radio Nacional de España. In addition, she has redirected her career path towards the world of coaching and the presentation of events.
