Amy Holmes is an American News anchor, political commentator, and former Republican strategist. She co-hosts with fellow commentator Michael Gerson a politically conservative talk show on PBS titled “In Principle.” She analyzes and debates the issues of the day, appearing regularly on CNN, MSNBC, Fox News and PBS.

Previously, Holmes was a news anchor on Glenn Beck’s TheBlaze TV and a former host of TheBlaze Real News current affairs discussion program.

From 2015 to 2016, she hosted Way Too Early, which aired weekdays on MSNBC at 5:30 a.m. EST as an intro to Morning Joe.

She has also appeared as a freelance political contributor on Fox News and CNN and appeared several times on Real Time with Bill Maher.

She attended Princeton University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with a major in economics in 1994. While at the University, Holmes was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta. While still at Princeton, she founded Ahimsa, an animal rights group opposed to animal testing.

Holmes co-hosted ‘The View’ and co-hosted Fox News’ Glenn Beck while Beck was on the road with his show ‘Unelectable’. Additionally, she appeared on the HBO show Real Time with Bill Maher.
