Amparo Valley
She was a regular face of Spanish cinema, in titles such as “Wait for me in heaven” or “Flowers from another world”, and currently had some popularity, as Amador’s mother in the series “La que se avecina”. The actress Amparo Valle died on September 29, 2016 at the age of 79, as a result of cancer.
Born in the capital of Turia, on July 15, 1937, in the middle of the Civil War. She studied at a religious school, and she began in the world of acting at the age of 20, going on stage for the first time with “La isla de las cabras”. She marked the beginning of a career that would span more than five decades.
After joining Núria Espert ‘s company , Amparo Valle met the renowned actor Gerardo Malla on stage , with whom she had two children, the musician Miguel Malla, and the musician and actor Coque Malla . She made her film debut in 1965, with María Rosa , by Armando Moreno . She worked with prominent filmmakers such as Pedro Olea ( Pim, pam, pum… fire! ) , Antonio Mercero ( Wait for me in heaven ), Fernando Colomo ( Get off to the Moor ) and Icíar Bollain ( Flowers from another world). She shared the screen with her son Coque in Everything is a lie , by Álvaro Fernández Armero .
She was known in the world for her generosity in lending her talents to young aspiring filmmakers, in her first shorts. She was in Aquel humo gris , by Josefina Molina , A Note on Ana , by Diego Galán , and Diminutos del ordeal , by a then unknown Juan Antonio Bayona .
A regular face on television, she went through successful national series, such as Farmacia de guardia , 7 vidas , Manos a la obra , El comisario , and currently La que se avecina , where she triumphed as Justi, an energetic rural mother.
