The youth icon was born on October 5, 1992 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He was born as the son of Indian politician father Raj Thackeray and mother Sharmila Thackeray. Her father is the chairman of the regional Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) political party. He has Indian nationality and belongs to the Kshatriya ethnic group and follows the Hindu religion. Amit grew up with his brother, a sister Urvashi Thackeray in Mumbai.
