American Billionaire Rapper “Kanye West” Officially Files for Name Change to “YE”
The 44-year-old American billionaire musician wants to change his name from Kanye Omari West to Ye, according to paperwork released by Entertainment Tonight.
American Billionaire Rapper, Kanye West has filed for the change of name from Kanye Omari West to a two letter word “Ye” on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at a court in Los Angeles. The name has been known as his nickname for years now, so it is not entirely new to his fans and colleagues.
Kanye Omari West is a rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, entrepreneur, and fashion designer from the United States. He has had a significant impact on the evolution of popular music, mainstream hip hop, and general popular culture in the twenty-first century.
He opted to change this name ahead of his forthcoming album which he titled “Donda” after his late mother.
Research shows that the American billionaire rapper has spoken about this plans in 2019 when he spoke with, Steven Smith, Yeezy’s head footwear designer, and has now made a move in 2021 to officially change the name.

Kanye however, has a lot going on in his life. He was recognized as a billionaire on Forbes in 2020, having rededicated himself to God, he started his own church and dropped a gospel album in 2019 titled “Jesus is King”
Kanye is reported to be worth over 6.6 billion naira, having amassed his fortune from his sneakers and clothing line.
However, months after Kim Kardashian has filed for divorce from Kanye west, the estranged wife has still not changed her name, she still has his name attached to hers, so we do not know if she would welcome the change of name.
