Amanda Seyfried
His big blue eyes dazzle the public, as well as his thick lips. She has been in front of the cameras since she was very young, but although she has given ample samples of her talent, Amanda Seyfried still has a lot to say on the screen. She not only acts, but she shines when it comes to singing Abba songs.
Born in Allentown (Pennsylvania), on December 3, 1985, Amanda Michelle Seyfried started modeling at the age of 11. But she was very clear that she wanted to be an actress, curiously because she didn’t feel qualified for anything else. “I don’t do this for a specific reason. I started because I wanted to find the perfect vessel for all my energy. And because I’m not good at anything else, neither sports nor studies,” she explains.
After several roles in television series, she was disappointed with her film debut, as she was promised one of the two leading roles in Mean Girls . She came to choose to start her studies at Fordham University, in New York, instead of somewhere else, because it was close to the filming locations. But eventually they gave the two leading roles to Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams , and she was relegated to a supporting role, as Karen Smith, the least sharp-witted of the cheerleading squad.
Despite the quality of the tapes, the actress did not attract much attention in Nine Lives or in Alpha Dog . She had more luck in the television arena when she was cast as Sarah Herickson, eldest daughter of a polygamous family, in the series Big Love , starring Bill Paxton .
His consecration in the cinema came with Mamma mia! , adaptation of the musical made up of songs by Abba, where she played the daughter of Meryl Streep , a young woman who invites three guys to her wedding, one of whom – no one knows who – is her father. The young woman was not bad at singing, and despite the fact that the critics were not too enthusiastic, the tape was a massive success, especially among the female audience.
During filming, she fell in love with the boy she married in the fiction, Dominic Cooper , with whom she was dating for a while. She subsequently became engaged to actor Ryan Phillippe , whom she met at a Halloween party hosted by actress Kate Hudson .
Seyfried likes to try a little of everything on the big screen. She starred in a horror film, Jennifer’s Body , with Megan Fox , and embodied the character alluded to in the title –a prostitute– in Chloe , a drama by the prestigious Canadian director Atom Egoyan .
After two romantic films, Amanda Seyfried has gone on to star in the adaptation of one of the most universal tales, Little Red Hood , in the new revision of the story directed by Catherine Hardwicke ( Twilight ), which has turned the traditional story into a fantastic thriller and Dark.
