Amal Maher (born February 19, 1985) is an Egyptian singer. She is considered one of the most talented artists of her generation. She started singing from a young age and was discovered by the general public at the age of fifteen performing the songs of Oum Kulthum. Amal Maher dropped out of school in order to pursue music lessons at the Arab Music Conservatory and begin her career as a singer. In 2011, she released an album called  Araf Mnein  and won an award for “Best Female Album”.  Amal has participated in several festivals all over the Arab world.
