Aly trains 6 days a week and up to 7 hours a day. Aly starts out with 15 minutes of treadmill running every morning.As a gymnast, her body balance is key to success. But she doesn’t do weightlifting. Aly hits the ground, raises her toes, climbs the rope without using her legs, etc.

At night she trains for 4 hours focusing on endurance and body conditioning.In her spare time (when she is done with a gymnastics competition) she is a boxer.Your typical training day diet plan looks like this:

• Breakfast – Hot water with lemon, 2 whole wheat toasts with jelly
• Lunch – Grilled chicken breast, brown rice, veggies and ketchup
• Dinner – Grilled Salmon, Whole Wheat Pasta (1 cup), Broccoli, Carrots, Parsnips, Tea
• Snack – Greek yogurt with granola and banana

She eats a lot of ketchup and wears almost anything.

During training sessions, she drinks plenty of water, which she has no control over. She just listens to her body, that’s it.

2. Her interest in gymnastics began when she watched the “Magnificent Seven” (USA women’s gymnastics team) win the first gold medal for USA during the 1996 Summer Olympics.
