Born in the soccer city of Madrid, Álvaro Morata showed the quality of a top-level player from the beginning of his career. He was the top scorer in the Under 19 and Under 21 European Championships and was considered a young prodigy in the Madrid youth system. He is a smart forward who can play both sides of the wing. Álvaro Barjo Morata Martín also known as Álvaro Morata, in short, was born on October 23, 1992 to father Alfonso Morata and mother Sussane Morata in Madrid, Spain.
Álvaro Morata started his youth career from Atletico Madrid . He then joined Getafe CF in 2007 but eventually returned to Madrid. He then joined arch rivals Atlético Real Madrid from the academy in 2008. From 2010 to 2013 Morata played for Real Madrid’s B team, also known as Real Madrid Castilla . He scored 45 goals in 83 appearances for the Madrid B team.
In March 2014, Álvaro Morata shaved off his hair showing his support for sick cancer victims. Apart from playing soccer, he also loves to play lawn tennis. He is also a friend of the Swiss tennis player. Roger Federer .
