After the game, Iverson said: “I thought I was fouled on that play, and said I thought he called the game personal, I should have known I couldn’t say anything about it. anyway. It’s been a personal thing with me and him since I’ve been in the league. It was just the perfect game for him to try to make me look bad.

WHERE IS ALLEN IVERSON TODAY
Unfortunately, Allen’s career was definitely over by the time he headed to the Memphis Grizzlies (2009-2010). His poor performances, controversial lifestyle and, of course, fierce competition from future basketball players made it harder for Allen E to secure a first-team position.
We talked more about how he wasted money on the little luxuries of life, bankruptcy cases and seizure of property. At one point, a judge ordered Ivy to pay a debt of approximately $900,000 he owed to a jeweler. But he did not have the necessary funds.
Allen tried to restore his former glory but all efforts were in vain. He officially retired in 2013. Life can certainly be tough for someone who once lived lavishly having to stick to a budget to avoid going bankrupt.
However, all is not lost for Allen Iverson. A deal he made with Reebok many years ago will continue to pay him $1 million a year and a lump sum of $32 million when he turns 55 (2030). Looking at Allen Iverson’s net worth of $1 million, one can only wish he would invest his money more wisely.
ALLEN IVERSON MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES
On November 3, 2008, Iverson was dealt from the Denver Nuggets to the Detroit Pistons for guard Chauncey Billups, forward Antonio McDyess and center Sheikh Samb.
Iverson, who had worn a No. 3 jersey his entire NBA career, switched to No. 1 for the Pistons, which Billups previously wore for the team.
Iverson scored at least 24 in four of his first five games with Detroit (they won 3 of 5),and would score 20 or more with 6 or more assists on a consistent basis, but as the season progressed he would lose playing time to Rodney Stuckey.
Some have speculated that Pistons president of basketball operations Joe Dumars did not envision a long-term role for Iverson on the team, but traded him to make Stuckey the point guard of the future. and free up space with Iverson’s expiring contract.
On April 3, 2009, it was announced that Iverson would not play the remainder of the 2008–09 season. Dumars cited Iverson’s lingering back injury as the reason for his deactivation, although two days prior Iverson had publicly stated that he would rather retire than be moved to the bench like Pistons coach Michael Curry had decided it.
On September 10, 2009, Iverson signed a one-year contract with the Memphis Grizzlies. He said “God has chosen Memphis as the place where I will continue my career” and that “I feel they are determined to develop a winner.”
However, Iverson again expressed his dissatisfaction with being a bench player, and left the team on November 7, 2009, for “personal reasons”.
On November 16, the Grizzlies announced that the team had terminated his contract by “mutual agreement”.He played three games for the Grizzlies, averaging 12.3 ppg, 1.3 rpg, and 3.7 apg in 22.3 mpg.

On November 25, 2009, analyst Stephen A. Smith posted on his blog a statement attributed to Iverson announcing retirement plans, which also read, “I firmly believe that I can still compete at the highest level.”
Less than a week later, on November 30, Iverson and his representatives met with a delegation from the Philadelphia 76ers about returning to his old team and accepted a contract offer two days later.
General manager Ed Stefanski declined to enter into the terms of the deal, but an unnamed source told The Associated Press that Iverson agreed to a non-guaranteed one-year contract at league minimum wage.
Iverson would receive a pro-rated portion of the $1.3 million minimum wage for players with at least 10 years of experience, and the contract would be guaranteed for the remainder of the 2009-10 season if he remained on the roster on January 8, 2010.
Stefanski said the team made the decision to pursue Iverson after starting goaltender Louis Williams suffered a broken jaw and was expected to miss at least 30 games.
On December 7, 2009, Iverson made his return to Philadelphia, garnering a thunderous ovation from the sold-out crowd, in a loss to his former team, the Denver Nuggets.
He finished the game with 11 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds, one steal, and no turnovers.Iverson’s first win on his return to Philadelphia came a week later, in a 20-point effort against the Golden State Warriors, ending the Sixers’ 12-game losing streak (which was 9 games prior to the return). ‘Iverson). He shot 70% from the field in the game.
On January 3, 2010, he returned to Denver to face the Nuggets; Iverson scored 17 points and had seven assists in the 108-105 win.He was voted starter for the All-Star Game for the 11th consecutive season.
He scored a season-high 23 points (on 56% shooting from the field) in a 99-91 loss to Kobe Bryant and the defending champion Lakers.
On February 22, 2010, Iverson left the 76ers indefinitely, citing the need to attend to the health issues of his 4-year-old daughter Messiah, which he later disclosed as Kawasaki disease.
On March 2, Stefanski announced that Iverson would not be returning to the 76ers for the remainder of the season to take care of personal matter. His last NBA game was a loss to Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls on February 20, 2010.
