BIOGRAPHY

Daddy Freeze was born on the 6th of May 1976 by a Nigerian Father and a Romanian Mother. He is the firstborn and has three younger sisters named Yetunde, Omolola, and Oluremi. His father is from the Yoruba extraction Osun state to be precise and his mother is from Europe.

Daddy freeze owns a dual citizenship certificate as he wasn’t born in Nigeria, he was born in Cluj-Napoca, Romania though he was brought back to Nigeria of which he spent most of his youthful age in Ibadan the Oyo State capital.

EDUCATION

Daddy Freeze at a young age had his elementary education at Ibadan and his secondary school education took place in the International School Ibadan.

After his first school leaving certificate, he furthered his studies at the University of Ibadan having his Bachelor’s degree in Sociology.

CAREER

Daddy freeze started his career when he was on a holiday to Romania, he was chanced to get his first radio gig in 1996 at Radio Galaxia in Romania which pans for three months.

It was when he accompanied his cousin named Gina who was the host of a Youth programme and this gave Ifedayo the opportunity to also start his career.

He got back to Nigeria the same year and got a job at the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS Ibadan) where he spent 5 good years and being paid 1,500 Naira which was very small at that time but he was doing what he loves most.

Daddy Freeze left BCOS Ibadan and in 2001 he secured a broadcasting job at Cool FM where he also worked as a production officer, the fact that he already got the Job after school he was able to do his NYSC service also at Cool FM.

Working as a broadcaster at Cool FM gave him the opportunity to meet and interview A-List artists all over the world, the likes of Akon, Boyz 2 Men, Angie Stone, Sisquo, Joe, SWV, ASA, Caron Wheeler, Brian McKnight, Brick and Lace, Sean Paul, Wyclef Jean, Kool and also Nigerian top artists like Tuface Idibia, Dbanj, Charlie boy, and OLuchi Orlandi and many more.

He had a great connection meeting the world music stars and influencers in the world. This gave him an edge in his career and he is considered a successful broadcaster.

As we said earlier, Daddy Freeze isn’t just a broadcaster alone, He is also an event compere. He has hosted a number of music concerts, comedy shows and Nollywood premieres in Nigeria, Ghana and the United Kingdom.

Daddy Freeze also acts as a judge on Star Quest alongside Paul Play Dairo KCEE a highly participated and very popular talent TV show in Nigeria. He hosted the show Coca-Cola Mega million for three seasons and also he has hosted some game shows and live telecasts for MLotto mobile lottery, The John Utaka Premier league Challenge, Multilinks Telcoms’ ‘Break the bank’ and so many more.

In 2017 Daddy Freeze Started the Free Nation Online Church where he pastors with Sunday and weekday services.

However, Freeze announced his departure from Cool FM in 2020, where he has worked for over 20 years.

MARITAL LIFE

With the kind of controversial life Daddy Freeze lives, one would think he has a wife and a happy family but the thing is, he is currently single.

Daddy Freeze had a collapsed marriage and claimed the marriage failed due to the fact that he was a victim of domestic violence.
