BIOGRAPHY OF ALISON SWEENEY
Los Angeles, California-born actress, reality TV host, director, and author, Alison Sweeney is best known for her portrayal of Samantha “Sami” Brady on the NBC soap opera Days of Our Lives. She has been playing the role since January 6, 1993, under contract with the show.
Sweeney received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination, four Soap Opera Digest Awards, and a fan-voted Daytime Emmy Award for her role in Days of Our Lives. She became the host of The Biggest Loser in 2007 and left the show at the end of the sixteenth season in 2015.
ACTING CAREER OF ALISON SWEENEY
Sweeney studied economics at UCLA but left because of her commitment to Days of Our Lives. Sweeney’s television debut came at age five in a Kodak commercial. A few years later, Sweeney was in the “I Can’t Help Saying Goodbye” episode of the horror series Tales from the Darkside, playing a young girl who could sense when others were going to die shortly before. their death.
