Alan Thicke
Viewers of the 90s will no doubt remember the ideal father of “The problems grow”, an affable psychiatrist who worked at home to have more time to spend with his family. The actor who played him, Alan Thicke, died on December 13, 2016, at the age of 69 from a heart attack, suffered while playing hockey with Carter, one of his three children, aged 19. “He was the greatest man I have ever known. He always behaved like a gentleman, ”said another of his offspring, the popular singer Robin Thicke.
Born in Ontario (Canada) on March 1, 1947, Alan Thicke was a great fan of the aforementioned sport from a very young age, the most practiced in those parts. He began in the audiovisual as a composer of episodes for television series. After several episodic roles, he was recruited for Growing Problems , which ran with great worldwide success from 1985 to 1992.
Although his face became very popular, when the series was finished he only appeared in series B productions, or as a guest in other television productions such as Murder has been written and Married with children . He played himself in How I Met Your Mother , where the sympathy that the actor aroused in real life, in the television world, was evident.
