Very active in the 80s, in the field of comedy, Alan Metter had retired with his wife and son to Florida. The author of titles like “Girls Only Think About Having Fun” passed away on June 7, 2020.

“He was a great man, an amazing father and the best grandfather ever,” says Julian Metter, his son.

Born on August 19, 1933, in the outskirts of Boston, Massachusetts,  Alan Metter graduated in Philosophy, later directing music videos for artists in the world of music such as  George Harrison  and  Olivia Newton-John . He made his feature film debut with the aforementioned  Girls Only Think About Fun , from 1985, which achieved enormous success in the United States, making hitherto unknowns Sarah Jessica Parker , Shannen Doherty  and  Helen Hunt popular .

He continued in the field of comedy with titles like  Back to School  and  Crazy Police Academy 7: Mission in Moscow. The latter, of poor quality, ended the police franchise, which had been stretched too far, so he withdrew from feature films, and from then on he dealt with video productions.
