Al Roker is an American meteorologist, journalist, television personality, actor and author and the current weather anchor for NBC’s Today. He also serves as a co-host on 3rd Hour Today, although the latter has not been officially announced by NBC News. It has an inactive American Meteorological Society TV Seal #238.
On November 12, 2014 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, Roker attempted to break the unofficial world record for a 33-hour uninterrupted live weather report held by Norwegian weather broadcaster Eli Kari Gjengedal. He worked as a weekend weathercaster and later appointed the station’s regular nighttime weathercaster. He started hosting The Roker Show, which was a weekend talk show on CNBC in 1995. He later worked as a weekday weathercaster on Today. since 1996, he has hosted the show as the main host. He also covered Hurricane Wilma from the inside and also showed off some of the viral videos.
