‘Aki and Pawpaw’ Remake To Premiere at the cinema on December 17.

The anticipated remake of the classic comedy Nollywood movie ‘Aki and Pawpaw’  is set to premiere at the cinema on December 17, 2021.

The development was revealed by Filmone Entertainment, a Nigerian movie studio, via their Instagram page on Wednesday. The movie is set to feature Chinedu Ikedieze and Osita Iheme replaying their roles as hilarious brothers Aki and Pawpaw.

Recall that duo had earlier announced their plans to return to the scene. The Nollywood icons have announced that they will be coming back to the screen after many fans asked that they return.

Iheme initiated the talk after he asked Ikedieze: “How far Edu? Just over here soliloquizing. I just dey see DM and old clips everywhere. Guess it’s time to answer the call of nature and drop something. How you see am?”

Chinedu responded with “this will be interesting ooo. Should we give them a movie or series?”

Other cast members include Toyin Abraham, Amaechi Muonagor, Anita Asuoha (Real Warri Pikin), Uti Nwachukwu, Stan Nze, MC Lively, Beverly Osu, Juliet Ibrahim, Hanks Anuku, Chioma Okafor and directed by  Biodun Stephen
