1. He was named by his father after the famous music manager Ahmet Ertegün, who was greatly admired by Frank Zappa.
2. In July 2006 he published his debut fiction book, The Monstrous Memories of a Mighty McFearless, which was written for the young readers. The film rights were acquired by Disney and Bruckheimer Films.
3. He is the founder of the production company Monsterfoot Productions. The first film made under his production was The Odd Life of Timothy Green, which starred Jennifer Garner.
4. During his childhood he struggled with dyslexia and had to drop out of school at the age of 12.
