AFCON Qualifier: Reactions as Super Eagles travel by boat to Benin Republic
The Nigeria national team, Super Eagles players have left Lagos by boat for Port Novo where they will face the Squirrels of Benin Republic in an African Cup of Nations qualifier game on Saturday.
The team travelled this morning by water as earlier announced by the President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick.
However, following this development, Nigerians took to social media to reacted to the situation.
While few consider it a safe trip, others believed it’s dangerous to the players live.

Recall that the Eagle’s coach earlier announced that the team will travel by boat to Benin as a result of Benin’s poor road network which sprouted their decision not to travel by road to the capital, Porto Novo.
In addition, the players in camp for the game are captain Ahmed Musa, William Troost-Ekong, Ola Aina, Semi Ajayi, Henry Onyekuru, Oghenekaro Etebo, Adekunle Adeleke, Chidozie Awaziem, Abdullahi Shehu, Anayo Iwuala, John Noble, Alex Iwobi, Leon Balogun, Joe Aribo, Tyrone Ebuehi, Maduka Okoye, Jamilu Collins, Francis Uzoho and Paul Onuachu.
