Afaka Abduction: Bandits Demand N500m

The Bandits who abducted the students of the Federal College of Forestry Mechanization, Afaka, Kaduna State have demanded for  N500 million ransom in order to secure the release of the students, they threaten to kill the abductees if the demand is not met.

The Bandits who abducted the students of the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka, Kaduna State have demanded for  N500 million ransom  inorder to secure the release of the students, they threaten to kill the abductees if the demand is not met.

This was disclosed by parents of the kidnapped students at a press conference in Kaduna on Friday.

The spokesperson for the parents, Friday Sani stated that they are losing hope and are uncertain about the government’s promises and intervention.

He said since the governement was admant and refuses to yeild to the demand of the bandits, the bandits that are now calling parents directly and threatening to have their children killed.

Sani appealed to president Muhammadu Bahari to use his power in securing the release of the children.

He also appealed to the Kaduna State Government to reconsider its stance on negotiating with bandits
