The registrar of the Joint Admission Board, Prof Ishaq Oloyede has revealed some courses where students can gain admission even if their JAMB score is zero.

The professor made the revelation during a live session with Leadership TV while addressing admission issues on sunday the 29th of August 2021.

“For example, all those who want to study agriculture or education, if they score zero they should be taken”, he said

The professor explaining why some student with good Jamb score may not gain admission stated that some courses like Medicine have a very high number of applicants in the country  but limited spaces available.

He also stated that some courses like Agriculture, Islamic studies, Christain studies, Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo lanaguage or Education courses  have enourmous spaces available but very little number of applicants which makes the admission easier for applicants even with a score as low as zero.

However, still on the same live session the professor revealed that the 2021 JAMB Cut off mark may go as low as 50.

Recall that there has been wide speculation on the mass failure of students who participated in the 2021 UTME organized by JAMB. The boardb however stated that it would release the official cut off for admission by 31st August 2021.
