Mohammed handed over to Usman Baba the Acting Inspector General on Tuesday at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
It was reported yesterday that President Buhari sacked Mohammed Adamu, the previous Inspector General of Police, and appointed Usman Alkali Baba as the Acting Inspector General of Police.
Baba’s appointment was announced by the Minister of Police Affairs, Maigari Dingyadi when he addressed State House correspondents at the Presidential Villa.
He said that the appointment was with immediate effect.
The Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo has decorated the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, as the acting Inspector-General of Police.
The acting Inspector-General of Police was decorated at the presidential villa on Wednesday.
