Adam Schlesinger passed away on April 1, 2020, at age 52, in New York, after testing positive for COVID-19. “He was ‘wonder’ and unique. Also born in the Big Apple, on October 31, 1967, Adam Schlesinger created the aforementioned musical ensemble in the mid-90s, together with Chris Collingwood, whom he had met many years earlier in his student days. With him as vocalist, they triumphed above all with the catchy song “Stacy’s Mom”, for which they were nominated for a Grammy, in the category of best pop performance by a duo or group, in 2003.
