Adam Brody

Adam Brody was born on December 15, 1979 in San Diego (California). After graduating from Ranch High in his hometown, he convinced his parents to go to college in Los Angeles. He got away with it and left his parents and twin brothers at home ready to start a new phase of his life. But as soon as he arrived at his destination, he did not go to university, but enrolled in acting classes and began to move to start an acting career. The move paid off and he landed roles on the television products Now What and The Amanda Show . His first starring role came in 2000 and was also made for television: The Sausage Factory, about four teenage experts at getting into trouble.

Until then, Brody’s career had been on the small screen. In cinema he made some appearance but always in small roles like in American Pie 2 (2001) or The Ring (La Señal) (2002). Shortly after, he played Lane’s crush, Dave Rygalski, in a few episodes of Gilmore Girls . It was then that he got the role that launched him to worldwide popularity thanks to the OC series.(2003). For four seasons he played the clumsy and endearing Seth Cohen, probably the best character on the show. Thanks to this very heavy adolescent, something of a “freak”, but with a heart of gold and overflowing sympathy, he conquered the hearts of thousands of young women around the world despite the fact that he played a guy far removed from the typical flirtatious handsome man who leaves breathless to the respectable. In addition, the series helped him to meet his girlfriend, both in fiction and in real life: Rachel Bilson . The television success paved the cinematographic ground for him, as shown by his participation in Mr. and Mrs. Smith (2005) and Thanks for smoking (2005). In these titles he had small roles, something that changed with Entre mujeres(2007), a romantic drama where he played a young writer who moves to his grandmother’s house for a change of scenery.

Since the OC series concluded , the likeable Brody has been focusing on his film career. He still doesn’t have any big titles, but in recent years he has racked up several movies like Jennifer’s Body (2009) and A Couple of Dicks (2010). The fact is that Brody has always talked about the passion he feels for acting, something that he wants to combine with other concerns also related to film and television: directing and scriptwriting. In this area, the young Brody made his debut in 2003 with the short film Home Security , in which he starred after having written the script.
