Abdelhamid Bouchnak (Arabic: عبد الحميد بوشناق ‎), is a Tunisian director. Born in 1984, he is 37 years old. Son of the great Tunisian singer Lotfi Bouchnak . He directed the first Tunisian horror film. Abdelhamid Bouchnak has taken a new step in the history of Tunisian cinema.

He is a graduate of the Higher School of Design Science and Technology in Tunisia and the Higher School of Film Studies in Canada. He directed short films such as “خوصة” in 2011 and “كعبة حلوى” in 2016. He directed a documentary titled “قديما كركوان” in addition to Mini Sitcom, titled “هاذوكم” in 2017. In 2018, he directed the first feature film “دشرة”.

Director Abdelhamid Bouchnak revealed that his first feature film, “دشرة”, cost no less than 100,000 dinars. He declared his joy at the culmination of this in Bologna by the award for best horror film.
The film mainly focuses on the phenomena of magic and sorcery found in the Maghreb, especially on the question of finding treasures and monuments, and how to kill children to obtain these treasures.
For the actors, the film starring Yasmin Dimasi, Aziz Jibali, Bilal Salataniah, Ayala Ayad, Hadi Al-Majri, Bahri Al-Rahali, Kahina Meddab daughter of Marwan Meddab and Samia Boualak. The film’s tour took place in Ain Drahem.
