Aaron Paul

What a voice. what a look What a pity we felt when she had to kill a man, when he returned to drugs, when he lost the love of his life. Aaron Paul is responsible for every son of a neighbor wanting Jesse Pinkman, Walter White’s young sidekick in “Breaking Bad”. He may not return to the top, but no one will forget his face anymore.

Aaron Paul was born in a town in Idaho and that is something that, no matter how much fame he accumulates, he will never forget. Keeping your feet on the ground, not forgetting “the kid who came to Los Angeles with a dream”: those are his premises. Above all, he is a simple man, a lover of cinema and television, who wants to start a family with his wife, the director and actress Lauren Parsekian.

His career comes off as a little bit at a time, a slow and arduous climb up to  Breaking Bad . Small movies for television, individual chapters in a lot of series. Family Matters ,  The X-Files ,  New York Police Officers ,  ER ,  Bones . Surely no one remembers these appearances, but with them he managed to gain a foothold in the middle and get an audition for the  Vince Gilligan series . And then came 5 years on top playing Jesse Pinkman and three Emmys.

With his eyes he portrayed the anguish of a lost young man who saw how his life was falling into the void with no possibility of redemption. Suffering and moral degradation were inscribed on his face as the chapters passed and were expressed with his screams. No one who has watched the series will forget his tats, his mannerisms, his bad boy facade, and the deep underlying humanity of him. Because in the end, the character and the actor merged, and underneath everything that Jesse was – delinquent, drug addict, greedy – was Aaron and his empathy, his simplicity and his kindness. He gave himself completely to the series and that is why today he has a tattoo that pays tribute to him: “No half measures”.

After the tremendous success of  Breaking Bad , offers to work on the big screen poured in, both in small productions ( Hellion ) and big-budget movies ( Need for Speed ,  Exodus: Gods and Men ). A multitude of projects for film and television are on his horizon, but nothing will ever be like  Breaking Bad again., as he himself states: “That series put me on the map. He gave me a run. Plus a family… because as much as I love movies, it doesn’t matter if it’s an independent film or a blockbuster, it’s a limited experience. But on television, bonds are formed through five, six, seven years, if you’re lucky, that only resemble those of your family (…) As difficult as it is to overcome what we have done in  Breaking Bad , the small screen continues being the best way to tell a story without having to condense it into two hours. And for the record, I adore movies. But they are two different challenges”.

Nothing will be like before. But that’s not necessarily bad.
