9 Times Chris Brown has collaborated With Nigerian Artists

Legendary R&B singer, Christopher Maurice Brown, popularly known as Chris Brown is one of the earliest international artists to embrace Afrobeats. He did so by collaborating with various artists and singers across the country. Thereby making him one of the people who forestall the Afrobeat Global Campaign. In appreciation and celebration of this international Superstar, we compiled a list, highlighting all Chris Brown collaborations with Nigerian Artists.

1. Shabba – Wizkid Ft Chris Brown, Trey Songz, and French Montana.

Shabba was Chris Brown’s first collaboration with a Nigerian artiste. The song was released by Wizkid  on the 1st of July 2016, featuring   Chris brown trey Songz and French Montana.

2. Number remix – Ayo Jay Ft Chris Brown and Kid Ink

Ayo Jay’s Your Number was one of the first Afrobeats songs to cross over to the United States In a bid to help take the song a notch, he tapped Chris Brown for the remix of his hit single.

3. African Bad Gyal – Wizkid Ft Chris Brown

Wizkid and Chris Brown collaborated again on African Bad Gyal, a lead single off Wizkid’s Sounds From The Other Side which was released on the 4th of July, 2017.  The song was produced by Sarz and is one best international collaborations in the Nigerian music industry.

4. Blow My Mind – Davido Ft Chris Brown

One of Chris Brown major collaboration in the the Nigeria Music Industry is  Davido Blow my Mind in 2019. The fourth lead singe off Davido’s second studio album. The song Music Video  amassed one million views in 11 hours, the fastest Nigerian music video to achieve this feat.

5. Lower Body – Chris Brown Ft Davido

Following their first collaboration on Blow My Mind, Chris Brown recruited Davido for his Indigo Album which he released on the 4th of October 2019. The  duo collaborated on “Lowerbody” the first track on the extended version  produced by Kidominannt.

6. Shopping Spree – Davido Ft Chris Brown and Young Thug

One of Chris Brown major collaborations with Nigerian Artists is his third collaboration with Davido onShopping Spree, off Davido’s album A Better Time which was released on the 12th of November 2020.

7. Time & Affection – Rema Ft Chris Brown

Mavin signee Rema tapped Chris Brown for Time & Affection off his album Rave & Roses which was released on March 25th this year.

8. Monalisa Remix – Lojay X Sarz ft Chrisbrown.

Lojay and Sarz teamed up with Chris Brown for the remix of Monalisa, which was released in May  2022. The Song  peaked No.1 on Shazam’s Global Afrobeats chart and within the top 10 on both the US & UK Official Afrobeat charts.

9. Call Me Everyday – Chris Brown ft Wizkid

Concluding the list  is the unreleased “Call Me Everyday” featuring Wizkid. Although the song is yet to be released the snippet have making wave on various social media platforms.
