ZUMA ROCK

Zuma Rock is an iconic attraction in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria. It is known as one of the seven natural wonders of Africa and is printed in the Nigerian currency of 100 Naira. It is a huge rock, famous for the face of a god on one side. Because it is located on the main road from Abuja to Kaduna, it is sometimes called “Abuja Gateway”

ABUJA NATIONAL MOSQUE

The Abuja National Mosque, also known as the Nigerian National Mosque, is the national mosque of Nigeria. The mosque was built in 1984 and is open to the non-Muslim public, except during congregational prayers.

NNAMDI AZIKWE AIRPORT

Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport is an international airport serving Abuja, in the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria. It is the main airport serving the Nigerian capital city and was named after Nigeria’s first President, Nnamdi Azikiwe.

MILLENNIUM TOWER

The Millenium Tower, a symbol of Nigeria, located in the heart of Abuja, is part of a multifunctional architectural complex designed to house the most important African art museum in the whole country, an auditorium, shops and entertainment including restaurants, a fitness centr and a hotel.

The 160m high tower is composed of three cylindrical concrete cores of varying heights, topped by a high-level restaurant, where visitors can enjoy a spectacular view of the city landscape.

Millennium Tower is the tallest artificial structure in Abuja.

MILLENNIUM PARK

Millennium Park is the largest public park in Abuja and it has a nice walkway with fountains and night lights. Commissioned in 2004 by Her Royal Highness, Queen Elizabeth II of England

Millennium Park was conceived and designed by Italian architect Manfredi Nicoletti, and it has become one of the main attractions of Abuja.

Millennium Park offers a good spot to walk the dog or come for a picnic. Evenings are especially nice to enjoy the beautiful lights at the park.

Parking is plentiful and the park’s entrance is off the Three Arms Zone road.

The park has a narrow river running through its centre and the remains of what was probably more extensive riverside woodland clinging to its edges.

ASO VILLA ABUJA

Aso Villa is the workplace and official residence of the President of Nigeria since 1991 when Nigeria moved its capital from Lagos to Abuja. It is located at Yakubu Gowon Crescent, The Three Arms Zone, Asokoro, Abuja, FCT, Nigeria
