4 WAYS TO BE A SUCCESSFUL STUDENT
Are you a first-year student looking to succeed at any Nigerian University, or a returning student in your second, third, fourth, or fifth year at any university in Nigeria looking to be a successful student as well?
This post was designed to assist any student who is having academic difficulties, as well as to assist freshmen or new students in achieving academic success during their time at the university.
A popular proverb states that success only comes to those who work for it.
Is it possible that you are receiving bad grades because you have not been putting out sufficient effort in your studies?
However, some people do everything they can but still don’t receive the desired result, which indicates that something is wrong somewhere.
Are you an average student who has tried but failed to improve your scores, or are you an average student who has been shunned by your parents because your grades do not make them proud?
However, I want you to know that going from being an average student to becoming a great student is possible.
Being a good student is determined not just by your results, but also by the routines, habits, and attitudes you adopt on a daily basis.
Join me on this journey as we figure different ways you can succeed in school together.
The truth is that to succeed in school, you need hard work and the God Factor to excel in academics; you need these two to be outstanding and successful, and they go hand in hand. You can’t be a student who reads occasionally but doesn’t pray for success, or you can’t be a praying student who doesn’t work hard. You’ll never be successful that way.
As a student, you can achieve academic success in a variety of ways;
-
Balance
Many students participate in extracurricular activities outside of school, which can be quite distracting and lead to you abandoning your studies.
We understand that being a student may be difficult, especially if you are involved in multiple activities. It’s critical to have a sense of balance in your life so that one activity does not interfere with another.
As a student, you will be involved in a variety of activities that require your attention, but you must strike a balance.
You are in school first and foremost to pursue your studies; everything else is secondary and should not take precedence over your studies.
-
Hardwork
The phrase “success comes to those who work for it” is widely used, and we have seen this in the lives of successful people.
When asked how you got that first-class or passed that course, “How did you acquire that first-class or how did you pass that course?” “I worked for it,” they’ll say.
Hard work, on the other hand, is critical to thriving and excelling in school. You must be willing to stay up late reading, attend classes, turn in assignments on time, read on the spot, and go the extra mile to achieve by attending tutorials and meeting friends or your lecturers to clarify what you don’t understand.

You Should Be Yourself
Have you ever wanted to be yourself but didn’t know how? Many students find it difficult to be themselves, let alone stand up and maintain their voice in this noisy society.
The majority of teenagers desire to fit in with society and have people like and accept them. These are persons that have exceptional talent and abilities, yet struggle to be themselves.
However, we want you to know that being yourself has its own beauty. You don’t have to act like someone you’re not. Find your individuality and embrace it; you have what it takes to achieve success.
To be successful, you must concentrate on yourself and strive to be the greatest at what you do.
Many young people today simply seek to impress others by saying what they think others want to hear, which is phony. In every aspect of your life, you must be yourself.
Society has altered the reality in which we live, and it is forcing us to follow the pattern it has established. Many individuals believe that being themselves is a dangerous thing to do.
Don’t be scared to be yourself; you’re allowed to make errors, and that’s how you’ll grow into your best self.
This is your life and your tale, and you must take ownership of it. You must have a clear understanding of what success entails.
I want you to realize that being your true self is sufficient for success.
Don’t be scared to take chances since that’s the only way to discover your true self.
Many people try to be someone they aren’t, and in the process, they lose themselves.
Dear student, you must learn to love yourself regardless of the circumstances, and there are no specific steps you must take to do so.

Association
Association is very important to succeeding in school
As a fresher who just gained admission, ensure that the friends you select are those who are brilliant, don’t select friends because you want to feel among, but select friends based on what you want to achieve at the end of your 4/5 years in school.
As a returning student, if your old friends are the lazy type, it’s a new session, and it’s not too late for you to change and switch friends to the hardworking ones.
You can succeed in school, there is nothing impossible for you to achieve, you can get that first class, you can be the scholar, only if you put to practice, work hard and include the God-Factor in your academics.
According to studies, students who achieve success in school gain public attention and admiration, as well as a plethora of options in life, so strive for success.
